Qi Jiao Visits He Chaolian’s Set with Daughters, Displaying a Distant Aunt-Niece Relationship, “Third Wife” Less Fond of Grandchildren than “Fourth Wife”

Recently, He Chaolian (何超莲) shared photos showcasing interactions with her nieces during her makeup session at work. Qi Jiao (齐娇), the ex-wife of He Chaolian’s twin brother He Youqi (何猷启), brought her two daughters for a surprise visit to the set.

The two young girls, He Xuling (何煦龄) and He Xuxin (何煦鑫), aged 6 and 5 respectively, were dressed identically in black puffer jackets, their hair styled in adorable half-buns. On seeing their aunt He Chaolian, they appeared shy and apprehensive, as if meeting a stranger. It was He Chaolian who took the initiative to greet her nieces and embraced them, yet the girls seemed confused, clearly indicating a lack of familiarity between the aunt and her nieces. Qi Jiao tried to encourage her daughters, saying, “Don’t you recognize her?” Even the makeup artist tried to ease the situation, suggesting that the makeup might have made it hard for the girls to recognize their aunt.

This brief encounter revealed that He Chaolian and her nieces do not meet often, hinting at a strained relationship between the third family and Qi Jiao with her daughters. The marriage between Qi Jiao and He Youqi was not favored by the “Third Wife,” and the birth of the two girls only added to the discontent. As a result, the couple never had a wedding ceremony, and they divorced when their eldest daughter was just two years old. Following the divorce, Qi Jiao moved back to Shanghai from Hong Kong with her daughters.
