Recently, rock band Mayday‘s (五月天) “Just Love It!” charity-themed concert was held in Quanzhou. It is reported that the total box office revenue amounted to 7,731,084 RMB. Mayday additionally contributed 9 million RMB from their own funds, donating the full amount without deducting any costs such as transportation, venue, stage, personnel, or administration. This donation aims to assist with the reconstruction of Quanzhou school buildings damaged by last year’s typhoon.
Furthermore, Ashin (阿信) announced that the next charity-themed concert will be held in Hualien, Taiwan. It is known that a previous earthquake in Hualien caused significant damage, with many school buildings and structures needing reconstruction.
