On May 14, F.I.R. band (飛兒樂團) member Chen Chien-ning (陳建寧) appeared in court as a witness in the lawsuit with former member Faye (詹雯婷). He appealed to the media, stating that he had been accused of forging documents, but the charges were not pursued, thus clearing his name. “After four years of litigation, it was determined that there was no prosecution. After a forensic examination, the prosecutor confirmed there was no forgery. I hope the media will stop mentioning forged documents.” He also mentioned that Faye was prosecuted for false accusations, explaining, “False accusation is not a private complaint but a public prosecution crime, and it is not a single-sided decision to withdraw the case.” When asked if he interacted with Faye today, he straightforwardly replied, “No, basically in court we follow the court’s summons and state the facts, there was no dialogue.” He urged Faye to “face the judiciary properly.”
On May 14, F.I.R. keyboardist Chen Chien-ning and former lead singer Faye appeared in court regarding the previous case where Faye accused Chen Chien-ning of forging documents, leading to non-prosecution, and subsequently, Faye was accused of false accusations. Faye issued a statement explaining the whole incident, stating that in 2009, without the knowledge of the other band members, Chen Chien-ning privately registered the trademark “F.I.R.” under his company’s name. Additionally, in 2013, he signed a contract with HIM International Music on behalf of Faye without her signature or authorization.
Faye also stated, “All along, to protect our shared name ‘F.I.R.’ and the hard-earned achievements we accomplished together, I could have let bygones be bygones regarding the past. But forging a signature is a serious infringement, and this time I had to stand up and use the law to protect myself. Filing a lawsuit for forged documents is to uphold the facts and the justice in my heart, and to defend the name ‘Faye.'”
