Over the past few days, the band “Mayday” (五月天) has been holding their 25th-anniversary concert series “Back to That Day” <回到那一天> in Hong Kong, which has unfortunately been fraught with issues.
The concert on April 30th was cut short due to a torrential downpour, and the May 1st show was postponed due to a short circuit in stage decorations that caused a fire. To compound matters, May 10th, media reports indicate that a worker fell while dismantling the stage, dropping from a height of 2 meters and is currently unconscious and receiving emergency medical treatment.
It is understood that last night marked the final concert in Hong Kong, with the next stop scheduled for Beijing’s Bird’s Nest. However, today at 5:30 am, Hong Kong police received a report that a 21-year-old man surnamed Leung had fallen. Preliminary investigations reveal he fell from a 2-meter-high platform and has been rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment.
According to sources at the scene, the accident occurred while workers were dismantling the stage. The fact that it was still dark at the time of the incident might have been a contributing factor. Work on the site was immediately halted following the accident.
