On May 13th, the TV series “Modern Dynasty Part 2: War of Others” <家族榮耀之繼承者> held its press conference in Beijing, attended by stars Raymond Lam (林峯) , Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼), Gallen Lo (羅嘉良), Him Law (羅子溢), and Benz Hui Shiu Hung (許紹雄), among others.
At the event, Charmaine Sheh appeared in an elegant white dress, while Raymond Lam livened up the atmosphere by playfully wielding a fire extinguisher. Gallen Lo, wielding a ruler, channeled a “strict father” persona, humorously “disciplining” his on-screen son, Him Law.
This marks the sixth collaboration between Sheh and Lam after a nine-year hiatus. Lam effortlessly delivered cheesy lines to Sheh, complimenting her on becoming more beautiful over the years. Sheh discussed their collaboration, noting that their first scene felt both unfamiliar yet instinctively in sync.
In the drama, Lam plays the representative lawyer of the Qiu Corporation, constantly “putting out fires” amid the family’s disputes, all the while professing his dedication to Sheh’s character, Hao’er, claiming to be her “personal lawyer.”
Sheh, however, remains indifferent to Lam’s character’s affections in the series, dramatically throwing away the keys in her hand and declaring her heart locked in pursuit of her career, bringing a powerful presence as a lead character focused on business.
Benz Hui also attended, playing a loving father in the series, although Sheh humorously criticized his character as being too romantically inclined on screen.
