On May 6th, the early screening tour of “Joy of Life Season 2” <慶餘年2> kicked off at its Beijing location. The director, Sun Hao (孫皓), and screenwriter, Wang Juan (王倦), were present, engaging with the audience.
After the screening, the director and screenwriter connected via video with Zhang Ruoyun (張若昀) and Li Qin (李沁), who were attending the premiere in Chongqing, along with Guo Qilin (郭麒麟). Zhang Ruoyun, taking on the role of a reporter, asked screenwriter Wang Juan about the new key scenes in season two. Wang Juan responded, “There are intense debates in the court, a surgery scene, and your characters’ big wedding.”
When asked how Zhang Ruoyun and Guo Qilin define the relationship between their characters Fan Xian (範閒) and Fan Sizhe (范思轍), the two actors frequently joked. Guo Qilin said he “dared not define it,” humorously describing his character Fan Sizhe as “little brother,” while Zhang Ruoyun revealed that in the second season, Fan Xian will uncover many of Fan Sizhe’s skills, praising Guo Qilin as a “treasure of a brother.”
