Recently, 56-year-old Annie Yi (伊能靜) spoke about her decision not to act and to restart live streaming during a live broadcast. Annie Yi stated, “The reason I don’t want to go out to film anymore is not that I don’t like acting; it’s because I love acting too much, yet I can’t get any really good roles. After all, there’s my age, and my appearance is quite awkward. You know, I don’t really look like a grandmother, but I am actually at the age of one. Another issue is that Mr. Qin (Qin Hao 秦昊) is hardly ever home, and if I’m not home either, what about my daughter? I don’t want my daughter to repeat my own experiences because when I was young, my mother was very busy. Even though she loved me very much, I always felt distant from her as I grew up.”
Qin Hao became highly popular in 2020 due to his role in “The Bad Kids” <隱密的角落> and has had access to good resources since. Annie Yi even moved from Taiwan to Shanghai, and their relationship has been stable. As Yi said, not going out to act and staying at home might be the best choice right now.
