“Pick Me Trip” Detained in Bali for Filming Without a Permit

On the 26th, it was reported that the production crew of KBS Joy’s variety show “Pick Me Trip” was caught filming covertly without a permit by the authorities in Bali.

The crew arrived in Bali on the 21st of this month and was scheduled to return to South Korea on the 25th. However, their unauthorized filming activities were exposed, and as a result, their return has been delayed.

Approximately 30 individuals, including cast members Kim Hyo-yeon from Girls’ Generation, Yoon Bo-mi from Apink, Choi Hee, Lim Na-young formerly of I.O.I, and Dita from Secret Number, as well as staff, had their passports confiscated and are effectively detained in Bali. They are currently under investigation by the Bali authorities at a hotel and are expected to return to South Korea by early next week at the earliest. Cast members who have scheduled activities in Korea are urgently rearranging their schedules to manage the situation.

One insider commented, “Currently, we are detained in Bali, but even the cast members do not know why. The production team has not shared any information, which is quite frustrating.” Another stated, “The situation is alarming. We can only grasp the specifics once the investigation is completely finished. Efforts are underway to facilitate a swift return to Korea.”
